About the Session
Today’s group is a space to tap into your creative “spikes” , whether that is through poetry or needing body doubling support to get through a craft project, this is a judgement-free zone.
We operate on the principle of body doubling and parallel play, you are welcome to participate actively or simply enjoy the company whilst working on your own thing.
You can join in person, online, interactively or just lurk, camera off. It is your choice.

The General Idea
Option 1: Skill Share – Poetry Writing & Mini-Slam
-
Skill Sharing: The choice to learn and explore poetry writing
-
A “Mini-Slam”: Afterwards, there is an optional opportunity to share what you have written in a “No-Judgement Mini-Slam.” This will be explained further!
-
The Vibe: Participation is challenge-by-choice. You never have to read or write if you don’t want to; listening is a valid form of participation.
Option 2: Body Doubling & Tasking
-
The Option: If poetry isn’t for you today, or if your hands need to be busy, please bring a craft project or a task from your “pile of denial”.
-
The Goal: Utilise the group’s body doubling energy to focus on your own work whilst the session runs.
Option 3: Just Attend
- Low Demand: You are also welcome to just attend, sit with us, and exist in a safe community space without producing anything at all.
What to Bring
-
For Poetry: A pen, pencil, and paper.
-
For Body Doubling: Any craft project or task you want to work on.
-
For You: Sensory comfort items, kindness, drinks or snacks (a few provided, what Bex likes to eat..)
